for Dealers.
This policy explains how PehliGaadi collects, uses, and protects information when you use the PehliGaadi Dealer iOS application and associated dealer services.

1. Who we are
The PehliGaadi Dealer application ("Dealer App", "we", "us", "our") is operated by PehliGaadi ("the Company"). This privacy policy governs the Dealer App and related services provided to certified dealer partners. For questions about this policy, email us at dealersupport@pehligaadi.com.
2. Scope
This policy applies to dealer partners, their authorised staff, and business owners who install or use the Dealer App. For end-consumer privacy terms relating to the PehliGaadi consumer website or buyer app, please refer to our consumer privacy notice.
3. Information we collect
3.1 Account and identity information
When you register as a dealer partner, we collect:
- Full name of the authorised signatory and of staff members granted app access
- Business name, registered address, and GST / PAN identifiers
- Phone number and email address
- Login credentials (passwords are stored using industry-standard hashing)
- Government-issued identity documents submitted for onboarding verification
3.2 Vehicle listings and inventory content
When you list a vehicle, we process:
- Vehicle details (make, model, year, VIN / chassis number, registration number, kilometres, pricing)
- Photos, videos, and inspection media captured through the app
- Service history, prior ownership, and documents you upload
- AI-generated inspection scores derived from the uploaded media
3.3 Location information
With your permission, the Dealer App accesses precise or approximate location to tag vehicle listings to your dealership, match listings to nearby buyers, and help route qualified leads. You can revoke this permission at any time in iOS Settings; core listing features may continue to work using manually entered addresses.
3.4 Device and usage analytics
We automatically collect:
- Device model, iOS version, language, and time zone
- App version, crash logs, and diagnostic reports
- Interaction events (screens viewed, features used, listings created)
- IP address and coarse network information
3.5 Camera and photo library access
The Dealer App requests access to the camera and photo library solely to let you capture or select images for vehicle listings and inspections. Media is uploaded only when you explicitly publish or save a listing.
4. How we use information
We use the information we collect to:
- Verify and onboard dealer partners and comply with KYC / AML obligations
- Operate the Dealer App, including listing creation, lead distribution, and pricing insights
- Run AI-assisted inspection, damage detection, and listing quality checks
- Communicate with you about your account, listings, leads, and policy updates
- Improve performance, fix bugs, and analyse feature adoption
- Detect, prevent, and investigate fraud, abuse, or security incidents
- Comply with applicable laws, court orders, and regulatory requests in India
5. Legal basis for processing
We process your information on the basis of the contractual relationship between your dealership and PehliGaadi, your consent (where required, such as location and push notifications), our legitimate interests in operating and securing the platform, and our legal obligations under applicable Indian law, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
6. Sharing of information
We do not sell your information. We share limited information only with:
- Consumers and buyers on PehliGaadi, who see dealership name, location, listings, and inspection outputs necessary to evaluate a purchase
- Service providers that host infrastructure, send communications, process analytics, and perform AI inference on our behalf, under written contracts limiting their use of data
- Payment partners and financing partners where you opt in to offer financing or digital payment options through the platform
- Regulators, law enforcement, and courts where we are legally required to disclose information
- Successors in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to equivalent privacy protections
7. Data retention
We retain dealer account information for as long as your dealership is an active partner and for a reasonable period thereafter to meet tax, accounting, audit, and legal obligations. Vehicle listing data may be retained in anonymised form to support market benchmarking and AI model training. You may request deletion at any time, subject to retention requirements under applicable law.
8. Security
We use technical and organisational safeguards to protect dealer information, including encrypted transport (TLS), encrypted storage of sensitive fields, role-based access controls for our staff, and routine security reviews. No system is perfectly secure; please report suspected vulnerabilities to dealersupport@pehligaadi.com.
9. Your rights and choices
Subject to applicable law, you have the right to:
- Access and obtain a copy of your personal data
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete information
- Request erasure of your personal data, subject to retention obligations
- Withdraw consent for optional processing, such as location or marketing emails
- Lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Board of India
To exercise any of these rights, email dealersupport@pehligaadi.com from the address linked to your dealer account. We will respond within the timelines required by applicable law.
10. iOS permissions summary
- Camera: capture vehicle photos and inspection media
- Photo Library: select images to attach to listings
- Location: tag listings, match buyers by proximity, route leads
- Notifications: alert you to new leads, listing status changes, and account security events
Each permission is optional. You can grant, change, or revoke any permission from the iOS Settings app at any time.
11. Children
The Dealer App is intended only for authorised staff of registered businesses and is not directed to individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
12. International transfers
Dealer data is primarily stored on servers located in India. Where we transfer data to service providers outside India, we require appropriate contractual and technical safeguards consistent with Indian law.
13. Third-party services
The Dealer App may integrate third-party services (for example, analytics, crash reporting, payment processing). These providers access only the information required to perform their function and are contractually bound to protect it. This policy does not cover the practices of third-party websites or apps you may access from the Dealer App.
14. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you through the Dealer App or by email. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
